About Campynema lineare Labill.
Campynema is a genus in the plant family Campynemataceae that was first described in 1805. This genus is monotypic, meaning it contains only one known species: Campynema lineare Labill. This species is endemic to the island of Tasmania, Australia. Its closest relative is Campynemanthe, which is endemic to New Caledonia and is the only other genus in the Campynemataceae family. Campynema lineare grows in boggy sites across the central, western, and central mountain areas of Tasmania. Most of its populations are located in the state's subalpine and alpine regions. It occurs most commonly in herbfields, heathlands, cushion plant communities, and along lake edges.
