Campylotes histrionicus is a day-flying moth that belongs to the Zygaenidae family. This species was first described and given its binomial name by John O. Westwood in 1839. It is found across Asia, with confirmed occurrences in northern India, Nepal, and Vietnam. In India, it ranges throughout the Himalayan region. Its body is primarily black, marked with red and orange streaks and white spots, and its overall pattern resembles that of Danaus genutia.
