About Campeloma decisum (Say, 1817)
Campeloma decisum is a species that occurs in freshwater ecosystems across eastern North America. This species can reproduce both sexually and through parthenogenesis. Individuals usually begin reproducing when they reach one year of age, and have an approximate lifespan of three years. Campeloma decisum is a sexually dimorphic species. One parasite that infects Campeloma decisum is the trematode Aspidogaster conchicola.
