About Cameraria corylisella (Chambers, 1871)
Cameraria corylisella is a species of moth belonging to the family Gracillariidae. It has been recorded in the Canadian provinces of Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec, and in the US states of Kentucky, Wisconsin, Maine, New York, Connecticut, and Vermont. This moth has a wingspan ranging from 6.5 to 7 mm. Its larvae feed on the plant species Carpinus americana, Carpinus caroliniana, Ostrya virginica, and multiple species in the genus Corylus, which includes Corylus americana. Larvae of Cameraria corylisella create mines within the leaves of their host plants.
