Based on Söderström et al. (2002), Algerian reports of C. trichomanis auct. are attributed to C. azurea, but the presence and distribution of this species complex in Algeria are doubtful as C. trichomanis may include other species.
Following Söderström et al. (2002), reports in Algeria that used the name C. trichomanis auct. have been assigned to C. azurea. However, since the concept of C. trichomanis often includes C. muelleriana and possibly other species, the presence and distribution of this species complex in Algeria are uncertain.
