About Calycadenia multiglandulosa DC.
Calycadenia multiglandulosa DC. is an annual herb. It grows an erect, hairy, glandular stem that reaches up to 70 centimeters (28 inches) tall. Its leaves are linear in shape and can grow up to 8 centimeters long. Its inflorescence consists of a series of dense clusters of flower heads, which are surrounded by long, narrow bracts covered in clearly visible bulbous glands. The sticky, glandular flower head has a center made up of several disc florets, surrounded by a small number of ray florets that can be white, yellow, or red. Each ray floret has three lobes at its tip, with the middle lobe being the shortest of the three. The fruit this plant produces is an achene; achenes that develop from the disc florets have a pappus made of scales.
