About Caloramphus fuliginosus (Temminck, 1830)
The brown barbet, with the scientific name Caloramphus fuliginosus, is a bird species that belongs to the family Megalaimidae. This species is native to Borneo. Its natural habitat consists of subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It is currently threatened by habitat loss, and has lost approximately half of its connected habitat since 1973. Previously, the sooty barbet was considered to be the same conspecific species as this one.
