Caloptilia belfragella is a moth species belonging to the family Gracillariidae. It has been recorded in Quebec, Canada, and multiple states in the United States: Texas, Maine, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, and Michigan. The larvae of this moth feed on plants from three genera: Rhus typhina, various Cornus species (specifically Cornus asperifolia and Cornus drummondii), and various Vaccinium species. The larvae create mines within the leaves of their host plants.
