Its persistent leaves are basal, linear, and can reach up to 20 centimeters (7.9 inches) in length. The plant's green sepals grow up to 10 millimeters (0.39 inches) long. Its petals are lanceolate, reaching a maximum length of 12 millimeters (0.47 inches), and have long flexible hairs along their edges. Flowers bloom from May to June, and petals are colored white or blue.
