About Calochortus umbellatus Alph.Wood
Calochortus umbellatus is a branching perennial herb that grows up to 25 centimeters tall. Its inflorescence is sub-umbellate, holding 3 to 10 white or pale pink flowers. This species is listed on the California Native Plant Society List 4.2 of rare and endangered plants. It is a California endemic with limited distribution. It grows primarily in the San Francisco Bay Region, often on serpentine soils, and has a small number of isolated populations in Humboldt, Mendocino, and Nevada Counties.
