Calochortus apiculatus Baker is a bulb-forming perennial herb that grows a single stalk reaching up to 30 cm in height. Its flowers are pale yellow, with purple streaks and yellow hairs on the petals. This species is native to western Canada (specifically Alberta and British Columbia) and the northwestern United States. In the United States, most recorded specimens come from the northern Rocky Mountains of Idaho, Montana, and Washington, though isolated populations have been reported in the Black Hills of Crook County, Wyoming.
