Caliadurgus fasciatellus (Spinola, 1808) reaches a body length of 6–10 millimetres, or 0.24–0.39 inches. The first and second segments of its abdomen are brownish red, and its middle and hind legs have white spurs. This species is distributed across Europe, ranging from Great Britain east to Russia and Finland, and south to Spain and the Balkans. Within Great Britain, it is mainly restricted to southern and eastern areas. It inhabits exposed dry sandy or sandy clay soils.
