About Calceolaria crenata Lam.
Calceolaria crenata Lam. is a perennial plant in the Calceolariaceae family, native to the Peruvian Andes and the Ecuadorian Andes. The genus Calceolaria was recently separated from other genera originally placed in Scrophulariaceae, and reclassified alongside Porodittia and Jovellana into its own separate family. This plant grows up to 1 metre (3 ft 3 in) tall, has a branching growth habit, and bears soft cordate leaves. In its native habitat, it blooms from spring through summer, producing clusters of small yellow flowers that measure 12 millimetres (0.5 inches) in diameter.
