About Cacozelia basiochrealis Grote, 1878
Cacozelia basiochrealis, common name the yellow-based cacozelia, is a species of snout moth that belongs to the genus Cacozelia. The species was described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote in 1878. It is found in the southern region of the United States. Its forewings measure between 9 and 11.5 millimeters in length. Adults are typically active in flight from late July to early September, though they have also been recorded flying in June and October.
