Caccobius schreberi is a species of dung beetle that grows to a length of 4–7 millimeters (0.16–0.28 inches). Its head and pronotum are black. The pronotum is nearly circular, matches the width of the elytra, and is densely punctured. Its elytra bear distinct black markings along with two pairs of reddish spots. The front pair of legs is strong, has three teeth on the outer edge, and is adapted for digging. This species occurs across most of Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa. It inhabits dry steppe habitats.
