Byturus unicolor, described by Say in 1823, is a species of fruitworm beetle that belongs to the family Byturidae. Its most widely used common name is raspberry fruitworm; other common names are western raspberry fruitworm and fruitworm beetle. This species occurs in Central America and North America. Adult Byturus unicolor are small yellowish-brown beetles that measure 4 to 5 millimeters in length. Full grown larvae are approximately 8 millimeters long, and are white with brown markings on the dorsal surface of each body segment.
