Byasa mencius, first described by Cajetan Felder and Rudolf Felder in 1862, is a swallowtail butterfly belonging to the family Papilionidae. This butterfly is found in China. It has a wingspan of 10 to 11 centimeters. Its wings are dark brown, with a chain of large red spots on the hindwings. The underside of its body is covered in red hairs, and its larvae feed on Cocullus carolinus.
