Bulbine semibarbata (R.Br.) Haw. is an annual herb that grows 7 to 45 centimeters tall, and produces yellow flowers. This species is widespread across Australia, and can be found in every Australian state as well as the Northern Territory. It prefers growing in soils that are white or grey sand, sandy clay, or loam, and favors areas that are wet during the winter. Favored habitats include granite outcrops, creek lines, salt lake margins, and coastal areas.
