About Bulbine praemorsa (Jacq.) Spreng.
Bulbine praemorsa (Jacq.) Spreng. has thick, succulent, channelled leaves. Plants of this species typically develop a low fibrous neck around the base of their leaf rosette. This species usually flowers between June and September. Its flowers are yellow, and occasionally salmon-coloured. Its seed capsules are oblong in shape. Bulbine praemorsa is native to the Western Cape and Northern Cape Provinces of South Africa, ranging from Namaqualand in the north to Bredasdorp in the south. Its typical habitat is high, rocky sandstone slopes. This species is classified as Least Concern.
