About Bulbine frutescens (L.) Willd.
Bulbine frutescens (L.) Willd. is a variable species that grows as a small shrub. It has short, low stems that develop roots extending down toward the ground, along with slender, erect, succulent grey-green leaves. Flowers bloom throughout the summer, growing on an erect inflorescence that reaches 30 cm tall. Flowers of this species may be orange, yellow, or white. As with all species in the Bulbine genus, Bulbine frutescens has distinctively tufted, or "bearded", stamens.
