Brunia microphylla Thunb. is a shrub that belongs to the genus Brunia. This species is endemic to the Western Cape of South Africa, and grows within the fynbos biome. Its distribution stretches from Limietberg, which lies north of Bainskloof, southward to the mountain ranges located north of Betty's Bay and Kleinmond. From that southern area, its range extends eastward through the Riviersonderend Mountains and Kleinrivier Mountains, reaching as far east as Bredasdorp.
