About Bromus vulgaris (Hook.) Shear
Bromus vulgaris (Hook.) Shear is a perennial grass that can grow up to 1.1 meters tall. Its inflorescence is an open arrangement of spikelets, with the lower spikelets drooping or nodding. The spikelets are flattened, and each bears an awn up to one centimeter long at the tip of its fruit. This grass is regarded as good forage for both livestock and wild grazing animals. It is native to western North America, ranging from British Columbia south to California and east to Wyoming, where it grows in many habitat types, including temperate coniferous forest.
