This species is found in India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Taiwan, Borneo, Sulawesi, Java, New Guinea, the Bismarck Islands, and Australia. Its wings are brownish and feature variegated markings. The labial palpi of this moth are densely covered in spiky hairs.
