Distribution: The species is found in India, E Nepal, Sikkim, S China, Taiwan, Indochina, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Myanmar, Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Philippines, Sulawesi, Lesser Sunda Islands, Moluccas, New Guinea, and N Australia (Dressler 1996).
