About Brephulopsis cylindrica (Menke, 1828)

Brephulopsis cylindrica (Menke, 1828) has an opaque shell that is typically bluish white or white, and sometimes marked with dark streaks. The shell has 9 to 12 not very convex whorls. The inside of the aperture is yellow-brownish, with a faint white lip. The columella is slightly thickened. The shell measures 7.5–9 mm in width and 22–35 mm in height. This species is distributed in Ukraine, where it occurs mainly in Crimea and other southern regions, but has recently invaded other parts of the country. It has been present in Moldova and Belarus since 2010.
