About Bradypodion setaroi Raw, 1976
Bradypodion setaroi is one of the smallest species of dwarf chameleon, with a total length (including the tail) of around 10 centimeters (3.9 inches). This species has a reduced throat crest. Among mature individuals, the male’s tail is longer than its body, while the female’s tail is shorter than its body. B. setaroi is endemic to South Africa, and is only found in coastal dune forests in northern KwaZulu-Natal. The species can adapt successfully to suburban gardens, but introduced domestic cat predators typically kill all chameleons living in the local area.
