Brachythecium salebrosum is a species of moss that belongs to the Brachytheciaceae family. It has a wide distribution across most of the world, and is absent only from South America and tropical regions. This moss is known to be capable of using artificial light to grow in locations that would otherwise have no natural light; one documented example of this growth is in Crystal Cave, Wisconsin.
