About Boronia floribunda Sieber ex Spreng.

Boronia floribunda is an erect, woody shrub that reaches a height of 0.5 to 1 metre (2 to 3 feet). Its leaves are composed of five, seven, or nine narrow elliptic leaflets, with the end leaflet being the shortest of the group. Individual leaflets measure 4 to 25 millimetres (0.16 to 0.98 inches) long and 1.5 to 3 millimetres (0.059 to 0.12 inches) wide. The entire leaf, measured in outline including all leaflets, is 13 to 35 millimetres (0.51 to 1.4 inches) long and 15 to 28 millimetres (0.59 to 1.1 inches) wide, attached to the stem by a petiole 3 to 7 millimetres (0.12 to 0.28 inches) long. The flowers are most commonly white to pale pink, occasionally deep pink, and are arranged in groups of up to nine in the leaf axils. The four triangular sepals are about 2.5 to 3.5 millimetres (0.098 to 0.14 inches) long and 1 to 2 millimetres (0.039 to 0.079 inches) wide. The four petals measure 6 to 15 millimetres (0.2 to 0.6 inches) long. The eight stamens have hairy tips, and the hairs form a raised ring when the flower is viewed from above. The stigma is distinctly swollen. Flowering occurs mainly from September to January. The fruit produced after flowering is glabrous, and measures 3 to 5 millimetres (0.12 to 0.20 inches) long and 2.5 to 3 millimetres (0.098 to 0.12 inches) wide. This species of boronia grows in heath and forest on sandstone in the Sydney region of Australia, and occurs within Garigal National Park, Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, Blue Mountains National Park, and Nattai National Park.
