Bonnaya ciliata, commonly called the fringed pimpernel, is a species of flowering plant belonging to the Linderniaceae family. It is an annual broad-leaved herb that reaches a maximum height of 13 cm. This species is native to tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and northern Australia. Its native geographic range covers the Himalayas, the Western Ghats, Burma, parts of China, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Australia, and it grows primarily in seasonally dry tropical biomes. Bonnaya ciliata has oppositely arranged, lanceolate-oblong leaves with serrated edges, and it produces light purple or white flowers arranged in racemes.
