Bonnaya antipoda (L.) Druce is a prostrate or diffuse herb that typically roots at its nodes. Its leaves are sub-sessile, hairless, and shaped elliptic or obovoid. Its flowers grow singly, are pale blue, and have a yellow mouth. Across its range, its general flowering and fruiting season runs from August to October. In Australia, this species is only found in northeastern Queensland. iNaturalist observations from Australia show that in this region, flowering occurs through most of the year, with a peak in activity around April and May. These statistics are based on 18 observations recorded as of 17 April 2024.
