Bombylius mexicanus Wiedemann, 1821 is a species of bee fly that belongs to the family Bombyliidae. Contrary to what its scientific name suggests, the species has a wide distribution across North America. Its range extends from the Canadian provinces of Ontario and British Columbia, southward through the United States, and all the way into Mexico.
