About Boechera stricta (Graham) Al-Shehbaz

Boechera stricta (Graham) Al-Shehbaz is a biennial or perennial herb that grows one or more erect stems from a small caudex. Stems may branch near the top, and reach heights between 30 and 90 centimeters. Stems are generally hairless. A basal clump of widely lance-shaped leaves grows around the caudex, with each leaf up to 8 centimeters long. Widely spaced leaves also grow along the stem. The top of the stem holds a narrow inflorescence of flowers, which are usually white and sometimes light pink. The fruit is a straight, erect silique up to 10 centimeters long, which contains two rows of winged seeds.
