Boea hygroscopica F.Muell. is an herbaceous or woody plant that reaches a maximum height of 1 meter (3 feet 3 inches). Its flowers are 20 to 22 millimeters (0.8 to 0.9 inches) in diameter, and the peduncles (flower stems) measure 85 to 90 millimeters (3.3 to 3.5 inches) long. Each flower has 5 dimorphic petals: 2 larger petals are approximately 10 by 8 millimeters (0.4 by 0.3 inches), and 3 smaller petals are approximately 10 by 5 millimeters (0.4 by 0.2 inches).
