Boaedon capensis, commonly called the Cape house snake or brown house snake, is a species of lamprophiid snake. Its confirmed distribution includes Botswana, Mozambique, South Africa (spanning from KwaZulu-Natal to the Western Cape), Zambia, and Zimbabwe. This is a non-venomous species. It was originally classified within the genus Lamprophis, and has since been reclassified into the genus Boaedon.
