About Blepharizonia laxa Greene
Blepharizonia laxa Greene is similar to its close relative, Blepharizonia plumosa. Unlike B. plumosa, this species is typically yellow-green instead of gray-green, and it is covered in a much greater number of stalked glands. This plant is endemic to central California. It grows in the Central Coast Ranges, as well as adjacent areas of the southern San Francisco Bay Area and the Central Valley. Its native range extends from Contra Costa County in the north, south to San Luis Obispo County. It is native to California's chaparral and woodlands habitats.
