About Bipalium vagum Jones & Sterrer, 2005

Bipalium vagum is a relatively small species in the genus Bipalium, reaching approximately 25 mm (0.98 in) in length. Its head ranges in color from fully black to dark brown, and can also present as two black patches separated by a lighter base color. The neck has a black collar that is only interrupted at the creeping sole. The dorsal surface of the body is light brown, with a broad black stripe that runs lengthwise from the black collar to the posterior end. On the lateral sides of the body, there are two diffuse dark brown stripes.
