Bidens connata Muhl. ex Willd., commonly known as purplestem beggarticks or London bur-marigold, is a species of flowering plant belonging to the family Asteraceae. This species is widespread across most of Eurasia, North Africa, and North America, and has become naturalized in Australia and some Pacific Islands. Bidens connata is an annual herb that can grow up to 200 cm (80 inches) tall. It produces up to 3 yellow flower heads, which contain both disc florets and ray florets. It typically grows in marshes and other wet locations.
