Bertkauia lucifuga is a species of Psocoptera belonging to the Epipsocidae family. It occurs in multiple European countries, including Austria, Benelux, Bulgaria, Finland, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. It can also be found on the islands of Madeira and Malta. Outside of Europe, the species is common in North Africa and the Near East. This species is brownish-black in colour. Its members feed on apple trees, driftwood, ground litter, and leaves.
