About Beregama cordata (L.Koch, 1875)

This spider, scientifically known as Beregama cordata (L.Koch, 1875), was largely identified through the work of D. B. Hirst. It bears a very close resemblance to Beregama aurea. It also looks similar to multiple other species of Australian huntsman spiders, particularly species belonging to the genus Neosparassus. Unlike all members of the genus Neosparassus, Beregama cordata does not have the black patch on the underpart of its abdomen.
