The holotype of Bellatorias frerei measures 9.3 cm (3.7 in) in snout-to-vent length (SVL), with an additional tail length of 14 cm (5.5 in). This species is distributed in Australia, specifically within the states of Queensland and New South Wales, and also occurs in Papua New Guinea. It can be found in a wide range of habitats, including forest, savanna, grassland, rocky areas, and suburban areas. Bellatorias frerei reproduces via ovoviviparity.
