Belenois thysa, commonly known as the false dotted border, is a species of butterfly belonging to the Pieridae family. It is native to and found across Africa. The wingspan of this butterfly ranges from 45 to 60 millimetres (1.8 to 2.4 inches) for males, while females have a slightly larger wingspan of 48 to 62 millimetres (1.9 to 2.4 inches). In warm regions of its distribution, adult Belenois thysa can be seen in flight year-round. The larvae of this species feed on plants from the Capparis genus, as well as the species Maerua racemulosa.
