Begonia picta, commonly called the painted leaf begonia, is a widespread flowering plant species in the Begoniaceae family. It is native to the Himalayan region. It grows at relatively high elevations in the Himalayan foothills, most often on shady slopes and moist ledges. When grown in cultivation, this species needs high humidity and warm temperatures.
