Begonia chitoensis, commonly called the hardy Taiwan begonia, is a flowering plant species in the Begoniaceae family. It is native to central and northern Taiwan, where it grows in forests at elevations ranging from 400 to 2,200 m (1,300 to 7,200 ft). As its common name indicates, it is hardy enough to grow in USDA zone 7b.
