About Bauera capitata Ser.

Bauera capitata Ser. is a shrub that usually grows up to 30 centimeters (12 inches) tall, and produces a small number of spreading branches. Its leaves are trifoliate, measuring 3 to 7 millimeters (0.12 to 0.28 inches) long and 1 to 2 millimeters (0.039 to 0.079 inches) wide, and typically have lobed edges. The flowers of this species grow in clusters at the tips of branches, and are more or less sessile. Each flower has four sepals that are 3 to 4 millimeters (0.12 to 0.16 inches) long, four deep pink petals 7 to 8 millimeters (0.28 to 0.31 inches) long, and 12 to 15 pink stamens. Flowering takes place in September and October. This species of Bauera grows in near-coastal habitats, ranging from south-eastern Queensland to Port Hacking in New South Wales.
