About Balduina angustifolia (Michx.) B.L.Rob.

Balduina angustifolia, commonly called the coastal plain honeycombhead, is a plant species belonging to the sunflower family, found in North America. It is native to the southeastern United States, where it occurs in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Mississippi. It is an herbaceous plant with branching stems. A single individual can produce 20 or more flower heads; each flower head contains both yellow ray florets and yellow disc florets. This species grows in sandy soil, most often in pinelands. The Florida Wildflower Foundation states that it is an annual or biennial plant.
