Austrolittorina cincta is a species of sea snail, classified as a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Littorinidae, the group commonly known as winkles or periwinkles. This species is endemic to New Zealand, meaning it is found nowhere else outside this region. It is commonly called the brown periwinkle, and is known as ngaeti in the Māori language. While it can be found throughout all parts of New Zealand, it is more common in the southern areas of the country. Individuals of this species can reach a maximum length of 15 millimeters.
