About Austraeolis stearnsi (Cockerell, 1901)

This species reaches a maximum body length of 25 millimeters. Its brilliant orange or yellowish body coloration is quite distinct. It has long foot corners and long oral tentacles. Its radular teeth have a formula of 21-26 x 0.1.0, and the teeth have the typical shape of aeolid nudibranchs that feed on hydroids. This species was originally described from specimens collected in California and Mexico.
