Athyrium americanum, commonly known as the American alpine lady fern, is a fern species belonging to the family Aspleniaceae. It is native to the Russian Far East, subarctic North America, and the western to west-central United States. This species grows at higher altitudes and higher latitudes than Athyrium filix-femina, the common lady fern.
