The Cayenne stubfoot toad, scientifically named Atelopus flavescens Duméril & Bibron, 1841, is called atélope jaunâtre in French. It is a species of toad belonging to the family Bufonidae. This toad is found in northeastern French Guiana and the adjacent Brazilian state of Amapá. Its natural habitats are lowland primary forests, and it occurs near fast-flowing, small streams within these habitats. It is locally common, and there are no major threats to it at present.
