About Asplenium hookerianum Colenso

This small fern, Asplenium hookerianum Colenso, grows in two distinct forms. The broad-pinnuled form has fronds with rounded ultimate segments, while the narrow-pinnuled form has very fine and narrow ultimate segments. Asplenium hookerianum is distributed in New Zealand, which includes the Chatham Islands, and Australia. In cultivation, it is easy to grow, makes a good pot plant, and is slow growing. It is prone to scale and mealy bug infestations, and is not commercially available.
